Featured GF RecipeSpanish Rice

 

Best time of the year:  Fall

                                                                         Meal Type:   Dinner

   Servings:  8

 

                                                                                                                                                  

 

 

                                          Ingredients                                         

                                      1lb cooked lean beef

                                    2 medium green peppers

                                    1 medium onion

                                    2 cloves of garlic

                               2 Lg. can of diced tomatoes (28oz.)

                                        1 can corn

                                    1 tbsp sugar

                                  2 tsp. chili powder 

                                  1 cup white/brown rice 

                                        1 cup water

                              

 

 

 

1.  First, chop garlic, green pep, and onion into small pieces.

2.  Cook beef, garlic, green pep, and onion in pan. (drain oil)

3.  Use 4 quart crockpot, combine cooked beef & veggies, plus tomatoes, corn, sugar, spices, and water.

4.  Keep crockpot on high for 4+ hours, then turn on low until time to eat!

5.  Enjoy an easy and gluten free meal!

6.  Add gluten free cornbread, it compliments this meal greatly :)
